Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which rose 2.48% or 0.40 points to trade at 16.36 at the close. ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) added 2.05% or 0.32 points to end at 15.67 and Aegon Ltd (AS:AEGN) was up 1.53% or 0.09 points to 5.86 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Relx PLC (AS:REL), which lost 1.68% or 0.72 points to trade at 42.24 in late trade. ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) declined 1.46% or 10.40 points to end at 701.40 and Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG) shed 1.26% or 0.35 points to 27.43.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 61 to 38 and 13 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.75% or 1.43 to $82.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.62% or 1.38 to hit $86.38 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 1.45 to trade at $2,338.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.09% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 105.58.
