Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Food Producers sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN), which rose 1.84% or 23.40 points to trade at 1,298.40 at the close. Aegon Ltd (AS:AEGN) added 1.64% or 0.09 points to end at 5.84 and DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) was up 1.23% or 1.40 points to 115.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included IMCD NV (AS:IMCD), which lost 1.28% or 1.80 points to trade at 138.60 in late trade. Unilever PLC (AS:ULVR) declined 0.68% or 0.38 points to end at 55.46 and Relx PLC (AS:REL) shed 0.58% or 0.24 points to 41.42.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 58 to 42 and 11 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.55% or 1.21 to $76.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.35% or 1.09 to hit $79.95 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.59% or 39.70 to trade at $2,532.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 102.54.
