Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.95% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Prosus (AS:PRX), which rose 3.37% or 1.12 points to trade at 34.37 at the close. Randstad NV (AS:RAND) added 2.66% or 1.16 points to end at 44.75 and Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) was up 2.64% or 29.80 points to 1,158.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd), which lost 0.56% or 0.09 points to trade at 15.91 in late trade. NN Group NV (AS:NN) declined 0.42% or 0.19 points to end at 44.87 and Heineken (AS:HEIN) shed 0.11% or 0.10 points to 89.34.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 65 to 39 and 8 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.12% or 0.10 to $82.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.19% or 0.16 to hit $85.24 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 4.15 to trade at $2,417.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.35% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 103.80.
