Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Real Estate and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Aegon Ltd (AS:AEGN), which rose 3.42% or 0.20 points to trade at 6.10 at the close. ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) added 2.41% or 15.50 points to end at 658.40 and ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) was up 2.24% or 11.20 points to 511.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Unilever PLC (AS:ULVR), which lost 0.42% or 0.24 points to trade at 56.58 in late trade. Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) declined 0.23% or 0.06 points to end at 25.79 and Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) shed 0.19% or 0.01 points to 3.67.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 64 to 34 and 10 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.03% or 0.02 to $68.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.49% or 0.36 to hit $72.42 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.76% or 20.21 to trade at $2,685.01 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 106.02.
