Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which rose 2.33% or 0.47 points to trade at 20.68 at the close. IMCD NV (AS:IMCD) added 1.59% or 2.20 points to end at 140.80 and Randstad NV (AS:RAND) was up 1.26% or 0.53 points to 42.56 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML), which lost 0.37% or 3.10 points to trade at 829.40 in late trade. Aegon Ltd (AS:AEGN) declined 0.24% or 0.01 points to end at 5.83 and DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) shed 0.09% or 0.10 points to 115.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 70 to 26 and 14 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.92% or 1.45 to $74.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.91% or 1.52 to hit $78.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 5.85 to trade at $2,543.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 101.79.
