Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Prosus (AS:PRX), which rose 1.79% or 0.70 points to trade at 39.71 at the close. DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) added 1.77% or 2.00 points to end at 114.75 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) was up 1.23% or 0.27 points to 22.23 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aegon Ltd (AS:AEGN), which lost 1.11% or 0.07 points to trade at 5.89 in late trade. Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) declined 1.04% or 0.31 points to end at 29.48 and ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) shed 0.74% or 0.33 points to 44.06.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 63 to 38 and 11 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.84% or 1.29 to $71.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.80% or 1.34 to hit $75.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.00% or 0.05 to trade at $2,748.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 104.06.
