Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Biomed and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 1.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Avner L (TA:AVNRp), which rose 4.14% or 9.1 points to trade at 229.1 at the close. Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) added 3.36% or 2.2 points to end at 67.6 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was up 3.13% or 36 points to 1186 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which lost 0.45% or 260 points to trade at 57750 in late trade. Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) declined 0.40% or 3.3 points to end at 824.2 and Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) shed 0.21% or 30 points to 14220.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 241 to 117 and 96 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.60% or 0.57 to $34.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.23% or 0.09 to hit $37.30 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 2.25% or 24.20 to trade at $1052.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.52% to 3.8950, while EUR/ILS fell 0.18% to 4.2209.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.69% at 99.09.
