Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Chemicals, Mining and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.91% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Med Paper (CS:PAP), which rose 5.58% or 1.05 points to trade at 19.84 at the close. Lafarge Ciments (CS:LAC) added 2.79% or 49 points to end at 1751 and Alliances (CS:ADI) was up 2.45% or 1 points to 52 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Managem (CS:MNG), which lost 5.98% or 49 points to trade at 772 in late trade. CDM (CS:CDM) declined 5.19% or 27 points to end at 491 and Snep (CS:SNP) shed 4.80% or 5.65 points to 111.85.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 10 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 4.43% or 1.79 to $38.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 4.72% or 2.15 to hit $43.31 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.08% or 0.90 to trade at $1158.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.66% to 11.0220, while USD/MAD fell 0.96% to 9.5263.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.39% at 93.52.
