Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Chemicals, Software & Computer Services and Beverage sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Cosumar (CS:CSMR), which rose 3.60% or 6 points to trade at 181 at the close. Involys (CS:INV) added 1.49% or 2.00 points to end at 136.00 and Lydec (CS:LYD) was up 0.68% or 3.00 points to 442.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Snep (CS:SNP), which lost 7.10% or 8.95 points to trade at 117.00 in late trade. Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) declined 5.90% or 14.15 points to end at 225.40 and Alliances (CS:ADI) shed 5.62% or 3 points to 49.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 9 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.63% or 1.46 to $54.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 3.44% or 2.08 to hit $58.24 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1167.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.14% to 10.8240, while USD/MAD rose 0.10% to 9.7573.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.06% at 96.32.
