Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Invest Companies & Other Finance, Banking and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Risma (CS:RIS), which rose 5.98% or 7.00 points to trade at 124.00 at the close. Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM) added 5.98% or 9.10 points to end at 161.10 and BMCI (CS:BMCI) was up 5.92% or 31 points to 554 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Salafin (CS:SLF), which lost 3.71% or 29 points to trade at 750 in late trade. Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS) declined 3.67% or 5.80 points to end at 152.10 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) shed 3.35% or 1.91 points to 55.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 21 to 18 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 3.46% or 1.33 to $39.79 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.23% or 0.90 to hit $41.23 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 2.93% or 36.00 to trade at $1265.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.35% to 10.9500, while USD/MAD fell 0.42% to 9.6650.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.01% at 94.73.
