Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Construction & Building Materials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Snep (CS:SNP), which rose 10.00% or 23.20 points to trade at 255.30 at the close. BCP (CS:BCP) added 3.84% or 11.10 points to end at 300.00 and Auto Nejma (CS:NEJ1) was up 3.81% or 80 points to 2180 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Taslif (CS:TSF1), which lost 6.00% or 1.66 points to trade at 26.02 in late trade. Timar (CS:TIM) declined 5.97% or 14.50 points to end at 228.50 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) shed 4.90% or 2.60 points to 50.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 28 to 15 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $53.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.25% or 0.14 to hit $56.94 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.94% or 11.35 to trade at $1219.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.11% to 10.7570, while USD/MAD fell 0.15% to 9.9772.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 99.53.
