Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Holding Companies, Distributors and Construction & Building Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Alliances (CS:ADI), which rose 10.00% or 11 points to trade at 121 at the close. Taslif (CS:TSF1) added 5.98% or 2.42 points to end at 42.84 and Microdata (CS:MIC) was up 2.81% or 4.00 points to 146.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Colorado (CS:COL), which lost 5.99% or 5.39 points to trade at 84.59 in late trade. Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) declined 5.98% or 1.82 points to end at 28.60 and Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) shed 5.87% or 8.65 points to 138.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 14 and 9 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.48% or 0.84 to $55.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.38% or 0.24 to hit $63.73 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.39% or 4.70 to trade at $1202.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.07% to 10.7220, while USD/MAD fell 0.10% to 9.9420.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 97.75.
