Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Insurance and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI), which rose 5.99% or 165 points to trade at 2920 at the close. Lydec (CS:LYD) added 5.98% or 36.80 points to end at 651.80 and Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) was up 5.71% or 7.40 points to 137.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Risma (CS:RIS), which lost 4.32% or 7.10 points to trade at 157.40 in late trade. Saham Assurance (CS:SAH) declined 3.89% or 56 points to end at 1382 and Ciments Du Maroc (CS:SCM) shed 3.41% or 53 points to 1499.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 17 and 11 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.17% or 0.08 to $47.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.85% or 0.45 to hit $52.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.69% or 9.18 to trade at $1339.58 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.39% to 11.1520, while USD/MAD fell 0.09% to 9.3548.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 92.57.
