Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Insurance and Construction & Building Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were CIH (CS:CIH), which rose 5.26% or 16.50 points to trade at 330.00 at the close. Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) added 4.37% or 4.75 points to end at 113.40 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was up 4.19% or 33 points to 820 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ennakl (CS:NAKL), which lost 5.95% or 2.56 points to trade at 40.42 in late trade. Samir (CS:SAMI) declined 4.82% or 8.20 points to end at 161.60 and Atlanta (CS:ATL) shed 4.79% or 3.20 points to 63.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 13 and 4 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.14% or 0.67 to $59.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.18% or 0.12 to hit $65.66 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.49% or 5.80 to trade at $1188.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.23% to 10.8750, while USD/MAD rose 0.25% to 9.6980.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 94.70.
