Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Beverage, Mining and Food Producers & Processors sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.82%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM), which rose 4.91% or 130 points to trade at 2780 at the close. Involys (CS:INV) added 4.78% or 6.55 points to end at 143.70 and Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) was up 4.66% or 7.50 points to 168.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which lost 5.22% or 81 points to trade at 1470 in late trade. Timar (CS:TIM) declined 2.92% or 6.90 points to end at 229.00 and Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) shed 2.49% or 4.70 points to 184.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 29 to 16 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.88% or 0.48 to $55.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.06% or 0.64 to hit $61.26 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.64% or 8.20 to trade at $1269.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.17% to 11.0460, while USD/MAD rose 0.32% to 9.5196.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 94.87.
