Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Holding Companies, Mining and Distributors sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.57% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Realis. Mecaniques (CSE:SRM), which rose 10.00% or 21.20 points to trade at 233.25 at the close. Balima (CSE:BAL) added 5.98% or 11.25 points to end at 199.30 and CDM (CSE:CDM) was up 4.21% or 35.90 points to 887.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stokvis Nord Afrique (CSE:SNA), which lost 3.72% or 0.42 points to trade at 10.86 in late trade. Les Eaux Minerales Oulmes SA (CSE:OUL) declined 3.57% or 50.00 points to end at 1,350.00 and Fenie Brossette (CSE:FBR) shed 3.01% or 2.98 points to 96.02.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 31 to 23 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 3.16% or 2.36 to $77.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.79% or 2.18 to hit $80.25 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 15.45 to trade at $2,467.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was unchanged 0.03% to 10.75, while USD/MAD rose 0.11% to 9.92.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 103.92.
