Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Construction & Building Materials and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stokvis Nord Afrique (CSE:SNA), which rose 9.96% or 1.63 points to trade at 18.00 at the close. Involys (CSE:INV) added 9.62% or 10.00 points to end at 114.00 and Zellidja S.A (CSE:ZDJ) was up 5.99% or 4.79 points to 84.79 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Realis. Mecaniques (CSE:SRM), which lost 9.99% or 67.60 points to trade at 609.40 in late trade. Fenie Brossette (CSE:FBR) declined 8.92% or 11.15 points to end at 113.80 and Med Paper (CSE:MDP) shed 7.29% or 1.94 points to 24.66.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 30 to 25 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.04% or 1.49 to $74.50 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.83% or 1.41 to hit $78.63 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.39% or 35.10 to trade at $2,551.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.42% to 10.72, while USD/MAD unchanged 0.00% to 9.68.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.78% at 100.61.
