Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Construction & Building Materials, Oil & Gas and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Cartier Saada (CS:CRS), which rose 3.23% or 0.75 points to trade at 24.00 at the close. Total Maroc SA (CS:TMA) added 3.17% or 35.0 points to end at 1140.0 and LafargeHolcim Maroc (CS:LHM) was up 2.87% or 44 points to 1579 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX), which lost 9.97% or 14.60 points to trade at 131.90 in late trade. Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) declined 9.09% or 2.50 points to end at 25.00 and Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) shed 5.99% or 68 points to 1067.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 11 and 11 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.65% or 0.45 to $69.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.34% or 0.27 to hit $79.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 2.80 to trade at $1230.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.07% to 10.8870, while USD/MAD rose 0.17% to 9.4928.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 95.59.
