Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Retail, Basic Resources and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which rose 7.74% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.52 at the close. Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr) added 4.28% or 0.7200 points to end at 17.5600 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) was up 3.73% or 0.028 points to 0.778 in late trade.
Biggest losers included National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr), which lost 6.67% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.28 in late trade. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 3.90% or 0.45 points to end at 11.10 and Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) shed 3.00% or 0.57 points to 18.43.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 54 to 39 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was up 0.31% or 3.95 to $1276.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.96% or 1.37 to hit $47.58 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 2.66% or 1.27 to trade at $49.10 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1328, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.7870.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 94.47.
