Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC fell 0.42% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Regional SAB de CV (BMV:RA), which rose 5.13% or 6.21 points to trade at 127.29 at the close. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:LABB) added 3.43% or 0.89 points to end at 26.80 and GCC SAB de CV (BMV:GCC) was up 2.64% or 4.22 points to 164.11 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Becle SA (BMV:CUERVO), which lost 3.48% or 0.95 points to trade at 26.38 in late trade. Coca-Cola Femsa SAB de CV (BMV:KOFUBL) declined 3.29% or 5.63 points to end at 165.58 and Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:GMEXICOB) shed 2.87% or 3.10 points to 104.99.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 136 to 74 and 15 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.67% or 46.70 to $2,754.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.80% or 1.92 to hit $70.53 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $74.05 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.13% to 20.04, while EUR/MXN unchanged 0.00% to 21.81.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 103.81.
