Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financial Services, Telecoms Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC lost 0.10% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA), which rose 3.39% or 1.120 points to trade at 34.200 at the close. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) added 2.09% or 0.450 points to end at 21.960 and Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) was up 1.69% or 0.560 points to 33.780 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (MX:TLVACPO), which lost 3.65% or 2.46 points to trade at 64.97 in late trade. Grupo Financiero Banorte (MX:GFNORTEO) declined 2.39% or 2.630 points to end at 107.390 and Becle SA (MX:CUERVO) shed 1.77% or 0.550 points to 30.580.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 124 to 113 and 13 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.08% or 1.10 to $1293.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.65% or 0.38 to hit $57.73 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.05% or 0.03 to trade at $62.97 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.02% to 18.5392, while EUR/MXN rose 0.06% to 21.9657.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 93.20.
