Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financial Services, Industrials and Consumer Goods & Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC lost 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Becle SA (BMV:CUERVO), which rose 3.33% or 1.00 points to trade at 31.10 at the close. Grupo Comercial Chedraui, SAB De CV (BMV:CHDRAUIB) added 2.71% or 3.83 points to end at 145.04 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (BMV:OMAB) was up 2.18% or 3.29 points to 154.52 in late trade.
Biggest losers included GCC SAB de CV (BMV:GCC), which lost 3.17% or 5.09 points to trade at 156.09 in late trade. Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV (BMV:ORBIA) declined 3.09% or 0.67 points to end at 20.97 and Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (BMV:GFINBURO) shed 2.36% or 1.07 points to 44.24.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 116 to 88 and 11 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.61% or 39.90 to $2,513.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 3.67% or 2.82 to hit $79.66 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.11% or 0.09 to trade at $81.87 a barrel.
USD/MXN was unchanged 0.01% to 19.08, while EUR/MXN unchanged 0.02% to 20.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 102.94.
