Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financial Services, Industrials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Gruma, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GRUMAB), which rose 3.24% or 7.040 points to trade at 224.960 at the close. Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) added 2.47% or 7.040 points to end at 290.300 and Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA) was up 1.59% or 1.26 points to 80.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which lost 3.39% or 8.030 points to trade at 229.350 in late trade. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) declined 1.83% or 0.270 points to end at 14.490 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB) shed 1.82% or 2.440 points to 131.610.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 84 to 73 and 8 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.01% or 0.10 to $1117.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.14% or 0.06 to hit $42.91 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $48.59 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.14% to 16.4073, while EUR/MXN fell 0.58% to 18.0995.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 96.99.
