Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Financial Services and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC gained 0.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Coca-Cola Femsa SAB de CV (BMV:KOFUBL), which rose 3.41% or 5.46 points to trade at 165.60 at the close. Promotora y Operadora de Infraestructura SAB de CV (BMV:PINFRA) added 2.87% or 4.86 points to end at 174.69 and Banco Del Bajio SA Institution De Banca Multiple (BMV:BBAJIOO) was up 2.87% or 1.64 points to 58.76 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:LABB), which lost 2.42% or 0.43 points to trade at 17.39 in late trade. Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:PEOLES) declined 1.11% or 2.87 points to end at 255.74 and Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (BMV:KIMBERA) shed 0.97% or 0.33 points to 33.74.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 119 to 98 and 10 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.04% or 1.00 to $2,398.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.51% or 0.40 to hit $78.24 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $82.30 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.05% to 17.93, while EUR/MXN fell 0.07% to 19.53.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 104.02.
