Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financial Services and Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA), which rose 3.08% or 0.35 points to trade at 11.70 at the close. Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) added 3.05% or 0.440 points to end at 14.880 and BanRegio Grupo Financiero SAB de CV (MX:RA) was up 2.58% or 2.99 points to 119.04 in late trade.
Biggest losers included El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1), which lost 1.79% or 2.26 points to trade at 124.17 in late trade. Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB) declined 1.34% or 1.340 points to end at 98.650 and Becle SA (MX:CUERVO) shed 1.03% or 0.330 points to 31.810.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 135 to 127 and 15 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.50% or 6.60 to $1316.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.50% or 0.34 to hit $68.44 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.08% or 0.80 to trade at $74.59 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.37% to 18.6876, while EUR/MXN fell 0.03% to 22.5758.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 91.62.
