Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods & Services, Financial Services and Telecoms Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC gained 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA), which rose 7.19% or 1.05 points to trade at 15.65 at the close. Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA) added 4.33% or 0.790 points to end at 19.050 and Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA) was up 1.74% or 1.74 points to 101.96 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB), which lost 0.86% or 0.880 points to trade at 100.890 in late trade. Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) declined 0.55% or 0.310 points to end at 55.690 and Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC) shed 0.51% or 0.64 points to 124.48.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 170 to 71 and 9 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.44% or 5.66 to $1283.04 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $51.59 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.82% or 0.47 to trade at $56.69 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.46% to 18.2420, while EUR/MXN rose 0.79% to 21.5617.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 92.90.
