Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms Services, Healthcare and Financial Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC rose 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA), which rose 3.61% or 3.50 points to trade at 100.36 at the close. Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) added 3.32% or 14.75 points to end at 458.72 and Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALSEA) was up 1.63% or 1.060 points to 65.990 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA), which lost 1.68% or 0.410 points to trade at 23.940 in late trade. El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1) declined 1.27% or 1.90 points to end at 148.13 and Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) shed 1.21% or 0.660 points to 54.030.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 153 to 107 and 8 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.21% or 15.65 to $1313.15 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.88% or 1.46 to hit $52.12 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 3.72% or 2.10 to trade at $58.52 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 1.03% to 17.9269, while EUR/MXN rose 0.16% to 21.2360.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 92.46.
