Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Materials, Healthcare and Financial Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC rose 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Mexichem , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:MEXCHEM), which rose 1.43% or 0.680 points to trade at 48.190 at the close. Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALSEA) added 1.27% or 0.810 points to end at 64.790 and Gruma SAB de CV (MX:GRUMAB) was up 1.18% or 3.08 points to 264.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA), which lost 1.36% or 1.32 points to trade at 95.61 in late trade. Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:BIMBOA) declined 1.10% or 0.480 points to end at 43.060 and VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA) shed 1.04% or 0.22 points to 20.92.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 107 to 102 and 7 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.28% or 3.73 to $1314.53 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $50.30 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.13% or 0.07 to trade at $55.41 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.24% to 17.8030, while EUR/MXN rose 0.57% to 21.3532.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 91.61.
