Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were International Consolidated Airlines Group S.A. (MC:ICAG), which rose 3.26% or 0.159 points to trade at 5.036 at the close. B. Sabadell (MC:SABE) added 2.39% or 0.028 points to end at 1.199 and Caixabank SA (MC:CABK) was up 2.25% or 0.060 points to 2.727 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gamesa (MC:GAM), which lost 2.43% or 0.490 points to trade at 19.655 in late trade. Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) declined 2.21% or 0.925 points to end at 40.955 and Aena Aeropuertos SA (MC:AENA) shed 1.89% or 2.50 points to 129.70.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 107 to 90 and 20 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.36% or 4.65 to $1303.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.76% or 0.80 to hit $44.54 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.32% or 0.62 to trade at $46.24 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.05% to 1.1103, while EUR/GBP fell 1.19% to 0.8915.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 97.22.
