Investing.com - Gold futures were lower in European trade on Friday.
On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for December delivery traded at USD1174.70 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 1.99%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1167.30 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1167.30 and resistance at USD1235.50.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.48% to trade at USD86.66.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for December delivery fell 2.31% to trade at USD16.040 a troy ounce while Copper for December delivery rose 0.65% to trade at USD3.083 a pound.
