Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Insurance and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG), which rose 1.99% or 290 points to trade at 14830 at the close. Teva (TA:TEVA) added 0.80% or 200 points to end at 25320 and Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) was up 0.74% or 460 points to 62730 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which lost 3.71% or 700 points to trade at 18150 in late trade. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) declined 2.60% or 2210 points to end at 82920 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) shed 2.36% or 6.1 points to 252.7.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 228 to 118 and 105 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 4.18% or 1.67 to $38.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 3.45% or 1.49 to hit $41.52 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.79% or 8.60 to trade at $1075.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 1.57% to 3.8775, while EUR/ILS rose 1.33% to 4.2082.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.34% at 98.61.
