Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Miscellaneous Industry, Manufacturing and Consumer Industry sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite rose 0.89%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Pelat Timah Nusantara Tbk (JK:NIKL), which rose 19.23% or 20 points to trade at 124 at the close. Semen Baturaja Persero Tbk (JK:SMBR) added 15.56% or 68 points to end at 505 and Indofarma Tbk (JK:INAF) was up 14.52% or 90 points to 710 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Multipolar Technology Tbk (JK:MLPT), which lost 10.00% or 120 points to trade at 1080 in late trade. Asuransi Ramayana Tbk (JK:ASRM) declined 10.00% or 230 points to end at 2070 and Golden Eagle Energy Tbk (JK:SMMT) shed 9.78% or 22 points to 203.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 171 to 128 and 86 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.84% or 0.34 to $40.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.12% or 0.48 to hit $43.31 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.19% or 2.40 to trade at $1260.40 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was unchanged 0.00% to 13105.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.38% to 10032.80.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 93.84.
