Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 1.96% or 0.75 points to trade at 38.97 at the close. Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) added 1.24% or 0.48 points to end at 39.26 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 0.84% or 0.27 points to 32.41 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 4.86% or 0.2650 points to trade at 5.1850 in late trade. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 2.47% or 0.71 points to end at 28.00 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 2.12% or 0.086 points to 3.978.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 111 to 66 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.63% or 0.31 to $49.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.51% or 0.24 to hit $47.01 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.29% or 3.90 to trade at $1325.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1279, while EUR/GBP rose 0.51% to 0.8556.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.01% at 94.74.
