Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 2.85% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Amplifon (BIT:AMPF), which rose 1.17% or 0.40 points to trade at 34.64 at the close. Inwit (BIT:INWT) added 0.31% or 0.03 points to end at 9.78 and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:UNPI) was down 0.06% or 0.01 points to 8.93 in late trade.
Biggest losers included UniCredit SpA (BIT:CRDI), which lost 5.55% or 1.91 points to trade at 32.53 in late trade. Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) declined 5.28% or 1.18 points to end at 21.18 and Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) shed 5.12% or 0.57 points to 10.47.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 376 to 150 and 37 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $78.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $82.78 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.19% or 27.55 to trade at $2,345.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 105.20.
