Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 1.29% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER), which rose 0.45% or 0.10 points to trade at 22.15 at the close. Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC) added 0.28% or 0.02 points to end at 7.25 and Mediaset (MI:MS) was down 0.12% or 0.004 points to 3.230 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which lost 2.73% or 0.118 points to trade at 4.210 in late trade. Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) declined 2.09% or 0.0780 points to end at 3.6460 and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) shed 1.97% or 0.300 points to 14.910.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 254 to 111 and 18 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.60% or 0.36 to $60.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.77% or 0.51 to hit $66.67 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 8.40 to trade at $1305.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.65% to 1.2020, while EUR/GBP rose 0.02% to 0.8891.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 91.87.
