Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.92%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC), which rose 1.27% or 0.08 points to trade at 6.20 at the close. Tenaris (MI:TENR) added 1.22% or 0.15 points to end at 12.48 and Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) was up 0.83% or 0.028 points to 3.418 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Prysmian (MI:PRY), which lost 5.12% or 0.90 points to trade at 16.59 in late trade. Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) declined 3.49% or 1.11 points to end at 30.73 and Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) shed 3.41% or 0.57 points to 16.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 274 to 89 and 23 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.62% or 0.35 to $56.60 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.98% or 0.65 to hit $66.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.13% or 13.50 to trade at $1212.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.1322, while EUR/GBP rose 1.80% to 0.8861.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 96.96.
