Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Hera (BIT:HRA), which rose 1.36% or 0.05 points to trade at 3.43 at the close. Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) added 1.31% or 0.15 points to end at 11.64 and Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) was up 0.95% or 0.23 points to 24.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which lost 2.58% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.23 in late trade. Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII) declined 2.55% or 0.16 points to end at 6.03 and Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU) shed 2.49% or 2.35 points to 91.85.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 268 to 219 and 52 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.36% or 1.78 to $77.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.11% or 1.68 to hit $81.30 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.75 to trade at $2,326.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.45% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 104.82.
