Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Technology and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which rose 3.00% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.26 at the close. Banco Bpm SpA (BIT:BAMI) added 2.93% or 0.18 points to end at 6.19 and Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) was up 2.79% or 0.05 points to 2.01 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI), which lost 7.48% or 0.56 points to trade at 6.98 in late trade. Poste Italiane SpA (BIT:PST) declined 3.00% or 0.38 points to end at 12.29 and Amplifon (BIT:AMPF) shed 2.59% or 0.71 points to 26.70.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 247 to 193 and 52 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.61% or 0.43 to $69.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.65% or 0.48 to hit $73.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 4.05 to trade at $2,596.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 100.58.
