Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:UNPI), which rose 6.37% or 0.61 points to trade at 10.11 at the close. Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) added 4.94% or 0.09 points to end at 1.96 and Assicurazioni Generali SpA (BIT:GASI) was up 3.22% or 0.81 points to 25.98 in late trade.
Biggest losers included STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI), which lost 3.36% or 0.87 points to trade at 24.90 in late trade. Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) declined 2.56% or 0.20 points to end at 7.60 and Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE) shed 2.02% or 8.60 points to 416.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 250 to 207 and 55 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.43% or 0.97 to $68.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.24% or 0.89 to hit $72.50 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 2.15 to trade at $2,608.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.44% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 100.42.
