Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Ferrari NV (MI:RACE), which rose 11.02% or 10.78 points to trade at 108.60 at the close. Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) added 4.97% or 0.0230 points to end at 0.4860 and Recordati (MI:RECI) was up 3.98% or 1.21 points to 31.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which lost 6.07% or 0.191 points to trade at 2.956 in late trade. Banco Bpm SpA (MI:BAMI) declined 4.86% or 0.086 points to end at 1.692 and Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) shed 4.72% or 0.1110 points to 2.2390.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 205 to 150 and 37 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.00% or 0.54 to $54.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.31% or 0.19 to hit $61.73 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.76% or 9.95 to trade at $1325.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.28% to 1.1444, while EUR/GBP fell 0.36% to 0.8719.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 95.297.
