Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Poste Italiane SpA (MI:PST), which rose 5.80% or 0.386 points to trade at 7.040 at the close. Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) added 1.94% or 0.55 points to end at 28.86 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) was up 1.45% or 0.2500 points to 17.4420 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI), which lost 3.25% or 0.20 points to trade at 6.10 in late trade. Luxottica Group (MI:LUX) declined 3.01% or 1.52 points to end at 48.98 and Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI) shed 2.86% or 0.34 points to 11.54.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 204 to 143 and 29 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.67% or 1.07 to $62.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.35% or 0.91 to hit $66.38 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.12% or 14.90 to trade at $1317.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.61% to 1.2242, while EUR/GBP fell 0.18% to 0.8804.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 90.28.
