Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Technology and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 1.92%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS), which rose 11.60% or 0.64 points to trade at 6.16 at the close. Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT) added 8.15% or 0.02 points to end at 0.23 and Banca Popolare di Sondrio ScpA (BIT:BPSI) was up 4.69% or 0.34 points to 7.47 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG), which lost 2.51% or 0.24 points to trade at 9.48 in late trade. DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS) declined 1.96% or 2.10 points to end at 104.95 and Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) shed 0.79% or 0.20 points to 25.14.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 310 to 204 and 44 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.15% or 0.10 to $68.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.21% or 0.15 to hit $72.43 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 7.20 to trade at $2,579.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 106.49.
