Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 1.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF), which rose 3.24% or 0.66 points to trade at 21.06 at the close. Recordati (BIT:RECI) added 2.95% or 1.55 points to end at 54.10 and A2A SpA (BIT:A2) was up 2.74% or 0.06 points to 2.14 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amplifon (BIT:AMPF), which lost 0.84% or 0.23 points to trade at 27.18 in late trade. Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII) declined 0.58% or 0.03 points to end at 5.83 and DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS) shed 0.58% or 0.60 points to 103.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 303 to 204 and 41 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.37% or 1.79 to $73.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.21% or 1.75 to hit $77.29 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.48% or 12.75 to trade at $2,663.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 103.04.
