Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Travel & Leisure and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (BIT:FBK), which rose 2.52% or 0.36 points to trade at 14.64 at the close. Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) added 2.24% or 0.23 points to end at 10.50 and Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) was up 2.14% or 0.48 points to 22.86 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI), which lost 0.56% or 0.01 points to trade at 2.32 in late trade. Amplifon (BIT:AMPF) declined 0.36% or 0.12 points to end at 33.28 and Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC) shed 0.28% or 0.16 points to 56.38.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 285 to 183 and 44 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $83.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.14% or 0.12 to hit $87.46 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.14% or 3.30 to trade at $2,366.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 104.81.
