Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which rose 7.82% or 0.490 points to trade at 6.755 at the close. Banca Popolare Milano (MI:PMII) added 5.77% or 0.0197 points to end at 0.3610 and Banco Popolare (MI:BAPO) was up 5.66% or 0.122 points to 2.278 in late trade.
Biggest losers included A2A (MI:A2), which lost 5.13% or 0.061 points to trade at 1.129 in late trade. Snam (MI:SRG) declined 4.96% or 0.186 points to end at 3.564 and Campari (MI:CPRI) shed 4.80% or 0.42 points to 8.44.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 229 to 193 and 21 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.41% or 0.64 to $44.63 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.19% or 0.55 to hit $45.81 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.49% or 6.25 to trade at $1267.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.0886, while EUR/GBP fell 1.30% to 0.8680.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 98.82.
