Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Materials, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.56% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which rose 6.50% or 1.54 points to trade at 25.24 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 3.91% or 10.7 points to end at 289.1 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 3.44% or 0.84 points to 25.29 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 1.25% or 0.02 points to trade at 1.19 in late trade. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) declined 1.23% or 1.60 points to end at 128.70 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) shed 0.66% or 0.05 points to 7.54.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 103 to 82 and 20 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.12% or 0.06 to $50.57 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.33% or 0.17 to hit $51.55 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.20% or 2.55 to trade at $1264.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.47% to 8.9869, while USD/NOK rose 1.06% to 8.2706.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.47% at 98.75.
