Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Banking and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT), which rose 1.65% or 690 points to trade at 42600 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) added 1.57% or 1050 points to end at 68040 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was up 1.54% or 24 points to 1584 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Delek Group (TA:DLEKG), which lost 2.96% or 2590 points to trade at 84950 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 2.80% or 80 points to end at 2780 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) shed 2.49% or 520 points to 20360.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 247 to 165 and 35 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.86% or 0.44 to $51.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.75% or 0.41 to hit $54.77 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 5.85 to trade at $1254.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.07% to 3.6444, while EUR/ILS fell 0.13% to 3.8838.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 100.51.
