Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Financials and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Nice Ltd (TA:NICE), which rose 2.78% or 730 points to trade at 26970 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) added 2.27% or 197 points to end at 8886 and Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) was up 1.71% or 1.2 points to 71.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA), which lost 7.52% or 1540.0 points to trade at 18950.0 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 7.29% or 189 points to end at 2405 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) shed 2.97% or 630 points to 20590.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 224 to 177 and 100 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.94% or 1.35 to $47.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.67% or 1.30 to hit $50.03 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 5.35 to trade at $1221.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.02% to 3.6080, while EUR/ILS fell 0.04% to 3.9212.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 99.44.
