Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Communication, Banking and Biomed sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which rose 1.51% or 300 points to trade at 20170 at the close. Alony Hetz (TA:ALHE) added 1.33% or 43 points to end at 3279 and Airport City (TA:ARPT) was up 1.19% or 52 points to 4435 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA), which lost 1.99% or 350.0 points to trade at 17280.0 in late trade. Partner (TA:PTNR) declined 1.74% or 41 points to end at 2319 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) shed 1.67% or 1170 points to 69000.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 207 to 174 and 60 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.41% or 0.76 to $54.54 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.14% or 0.64 to hit $56.82 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 4.15 to trade at $1234.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.13% to 3.7004, while EUR/ILS fell 0.96% to 3.9000.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.52% at 101.44.
