Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Communication, Banking and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp), which rose 1.52% or 0.8 points to trade at 53.4 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) added 1.25% or 260 points to end at 21070 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) was up 1.20% or 115 points to 9695 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL), which lost 3.11% or 105 points to trade at 3275 in late trade. Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) declined 2.50% or 660 points to end at 25740 and Partner (TA:PTNR) shed 2.49% or 45 points to 1764.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 220 to 175 and 21 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.81% or 0.39 to $48.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.60% or 0.30 to hit $50.50 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 3.70 to trade at $1248.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.20% to 3.5692, while EUR/ILS fell 0.35% to 4.1514.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 94.03.
